Looking forward to being the most irritating team in the league with Sean Avery, Brenden Morrow, and Steve Ott.
Got some young guys who made an impact last year, hope for more this season.

I am totally stoked about this season as well. I'm expecting good things, another run to the playoffs would be great. Making it to the Stanley Cup Finals would be greater, but not expected. I always aim my expectations low for the Stars, I think it makes the season more enjoyable. I am bummed that I won't get to yell "Stu" at the game except for at the bench. Especially since my friends and I started singing "Wise men say, only fools rush in, but I can't help falling in love with Stu" any time he happened to score. We got some odd looks, but who cares, it's hockey and the AAC fans are a bunch of stuck up pussies when it comes to cheering for hockey. It should be primal, instinctual, and profanity laden.

Can't wait for this season. If there is one team that I'm looking foward to, it's the Stars. Thinking about going to a couple of games this year.
Anyone seen these new alternate jerseys teams are coming out with? Pretty ugly

It would be hard to be worse than the last one. Let's see if they've outdone themselves. You have a link?

For some reason I was thinking that the NHL was finally gonna fix the "white away, team colors home" debacle. Was this just a pipe dream or was I right? Should I maybe ask Sports Sturm instead?

Tom Hicks gets confused about hockey so he steps away and lets others handle it.
Result? Team flourishes…

That's why I think the Stars are my favorite D/FW sports franchise. I know there's lots who would say Cowboys but since I grew up in Indy my football allegiance resides there still. A good owner should not be seen or heard from and should only meddle in team business when it involves ticket prices and costs of concessions (or moving to another town in the middle of the night). They also should only be seen at games during the playoffs in hopes of making it on TV. I don't need the owner on the sidelines, standing in team huddles and hiring John Harts.

I agree with you 99% of the time but I don't mind Jerry because he gets it. Snyder and Hicks…not.so.much. Viva La Stars…can't wait for the season. Good guys, good team and good future. And I don't give a good flying eff if Mikey Mo is out there on a wheel chair on the 4th line…I want him to stick around as long as possible. There's just something so sports comforting and iconic about that dude in a Stars sweater.

When they sign free agents that are hated by people on the team, it gives out two statements 1. Fans, we're doing all we can to improve 2. Players, make up and know we're going to kick some ass this year!!!! I can't wait, preseason game tonight against Colorado, then Saturday against the Blues. I think I might go to the Blues game.

I don't think it took very much for Turco, Brendan and Avery to kiss and make up. The dude wanted to come to Dallas because he believes our chicks are hotter than other Hockey teams. oh, and being buddies with the GM doesn't hurt, eh?

Seriously, when I was in the Jewelry business we had two standard sizes of ladies bracelets. One for Michigan and one for the whole rest of the US. Not kidding.

Some of 'em suck. All the retro alternate jerseys look great. The Stars are copping out and doing a white version of the home jersey.

I can't wait for Hockey season! The Stars games really get me going - three 20 minute periods, each one lasting about an hour; very DVR friendly; conducive to burrah drinking; exciting, fast-paced, end-to-end action; they win more than they lose; you NEVER see Tom Hicks in the seats behind the bench; the gratuituous "cocaine and boob-job" television shots; the greatness of Ralph and Razor! I am not a hockey savant by any means, but either in-person or on TV, the Stars games are damn fun! and, before I forget: RED WINGS SUCK!!!
